What is The Toledo Club?

We are a Private Membership City Club located in downtown Toledo, Ohio at 235 14th Street. Our historic building sits on the corner of Madison and 14th Street. We offer the finest in Dining, Social Entertainment, Squash and Fitness. We are very proud of our rich history in the great City of Toledo.

What are a few facilities available to Members of The Toledo Club?

All classifications of Membership have access to the entire Club which includes all dining facilities, meeting/banquet rooms and the offerings in the Athletic Department.

What amenities do you offer?

Our Front Desk is open 24/7 for assistance, they can assist with several needs including Gourmet To-go (take out). We have an in-house Tailor, Dry Cleaning Services. We have a Barber Shop with Shoeshine and Manicure Services, and a Licensed Massage Therapist. (To name a few...)

What types of Memberships do you offer?

The Toledo Club offers an array of classifications to meet most individual circumstances. We have Full Resident, Intermediate, Junior, Dual Resident and Non-Resident Memberships.

Is there an age restriction?

You must be 21 years old to join with an Individual Membership.

Who is included as part of a family?

All dependents under the age of 21 years old and living at home (Proof of residency may be required). After the age of 21, they can take advantage of a Junior Membership until the age of 30.

Is there a Food & Beverage Minimum at The Toledo Club?

Yes. The amount varies depending on the Members Classification.

Are guests of Members welcome to enjoy the Club as well?

Members are welcome to bring guests to enjoy The Toledo Club. Guests are always welcome, when accompanied by a Member. Members are responsible for informing their guests of the Dress Code and Club Policies. Guests are welcome to use credit cards for any payment for Services rendered.

Can a current Membership be transferred to someone else?

No, all Memberships are individual. Each person is responsible for their Membership and account.

How will new Members meet other Members after they join?

Come to the Club!! Register through the Member Portal for any of the several Special Events planned.  There are many events planned and the Membership Director will happily ensure to introduce you to some other Members at the Event.

Are there monthly dues associated with Membership?

Yes. Members are responsible for the payment of monthly dues. The specific amount depends on Membership Category and vary based on age. 

Do need to tip the Service Staff?

Although tipping is not required, if you would like to provide extra to the Staff that create the experience you desire, you are free to do so.

Do I need to make Reservations for Dining or Special events?

YES, YES, Y-E-S...please, please do make Reservations. We encourage everyone to do so for both regular Dining and Special events. It helps us to plan accordingly, ensuring the atmosphere expected.

Are Children welcome at The Toledo Club?

ABSOLUTELY!! We embrace young families with children. We encourage families to participate in the Special Events, Squash, Swimming, Fitness activities, as well as other events tailored for Children. A baby changing table is located in the third-floor handicapped bathroom if needed.

How are Monthly Dues determined and do they increase?

Monthly Dues are determined by the Board of Directors. They do change, not often though.  This is as a result of the varying nature of costs attributed to Labor Laws, Wage Rates, and Operational Costs.  Generally, Dues are established in January if they are going to change; however the Board of Directors did just have a restructuring process occur in June of 2023. 

There are many Restaurants in Toledo, what makes Dining different at the Toledo Club?

It starts with the high standards of dining service and atmosphere at the Toledo Club.  Here you're a part of something bigger, you are called by name and the staff knows to cater to your personal preferences each time you're in. We offer you a chance to meet, mingle, and network among Toledo's business and community Leaders on a daily basis; creating relationships you may not have the opportunity otherwise to do because of sheer proximity. 

I travel frequently, do you have arrangements with other clubs in the US or abroad?

Yes, we sure do! That's a HUGE benefit to your Membership.  You're paying Toledo prices to enjoy various other Cities amenities too!  We are affiliated with over 100 clubs in the US, 15 in Canada and around 20 abroad. You can find a list of Reciprocal Clubs here, on our website.

Am I able to go to a Local Club and golf?

You bet! We have Reciprocity with several local Clubs that will allow you to play golf and dine at their facilities as well. Payment does have to be taken care of at the reciprocal Club, day of and with any reciprocal use, a Letter of Introduction is required from our Executive Assistant, prior to the use.
