Pool Activities

Water Aerobics tones and sculpts the body without impact on the joints.  This popular, self-led pool workout is a blend of cardio and resistance training and may incorporate buoyant resistance tools such as water weights and noodles. This is a deep-water class that can benefit everyone.

Maumee River Swim
Members swim from Memorial Day through Labor Day, logging in their miles in the pool.

Master Swim Program
This is a coached group swim program to improve proper technique and enhance any athlete's fitness program at any level.

Running / Triathlon

Running

TC Striders is a walking/running community with a clinic once a month (the 2nd Thursday at 6:30 am) to provide tipson technique, breathing, cadence and more. Members are encouraged to schedule walks/runs with other people in the community at their convenience, as they work toward a specific goal each month.

An Indoor Track is available during open Athletic hours.

Some of the popular local and regional races that members train for are:
Glass City Marathon, Dart Frog Dash at the Zoo (May), Race for the Cure (September), Detroit Marathon (October), Chicago Marathon (October), Smoke the Turkey (November), Santa Run (December).
 
Triathlon


TC INDOOR-TRI is an annual indoor Winter event for members and guests hosted at the Toledo Club to encourage individuals or teams to run, bike and swim 15 minutes per event. The total distance determines the winners.

Sylvania's Triathlon is also a favorite among members. (August)

 

Group Fitness

Boot Camp is a combination of a cardio and strength training class that helps tone muscles, improve cardio endurance and fight age-related muscle loss. It's a different workout every time designed to challenge the body and make the most of your full body workout.

Spinning is a specific form of indoor, stationary cycling. It's a cardio workout set to music.  One can imagine themselves climbing large hills or racing through the streets of downtown.

Yoga is the union of the body, the mind and the spirit. This class builds upper body strength, flexibility and stamina through a series of poses and breathing techniques.

Silver Sculpt is a low impact, light cardio class that includes toning to increase your strength and stamina.

Big Ugly Weight Loss
A unique weight loss challenge which starts at the beginning of the year. The goal is to decrease body weight by five percent in 8 weeks.


Toledo Club Golf Outing
The annual Toledo Club Golf Outing takes place at various courses annually around the city. Held in the summertime the 2020 and 2021 events were hosted at the prestigious Toledo Country Club. The event is a scramble format and a fun day out for everyone involved.
 
Pickleball

We have a pickleball court marked out in the parking lot conveniently located next to the club’s outdoor patio. We host pop up events through the summer months and during the winter of 2020 we brought Pickleball indoors into the clubs beautiful Belvedere Room. Experience Pickleball for yourself and see why it is the worlds fastest growing racket sport!


SQUASH
The squash program at The Toledo Club is renowned for its inclusivity and community feel. Whether you were a college athlete now looking for a new sporting challenge or a complete novice who would just like to try something new – squash is the sport for you. Forbes Magazine even voted it the “Worlds healthiest sport.”

The Winter Squash League is one of the highlights of the squash season here at the club. Matches are played from October – May with plenty of time to get your matches played. It starts with a fun "NFL" style Draft night/dinner and ends with the awards dinner. The Winter League is perfect for players of every level.

The squash season is jam packed with events from start to finish including – Memorial Top 32, Wild Turkey Shootout, Buckeye/Wolverine Classic, Over vs Under and the legendary Toledo Squash Classic. We also host a Junior Squash Program led by former world top 50 squash player – Eddie Charlton
